What can we say about Mary and Catherine–they are two such wonderful individuals they almost leave you speechless. So loving and brilliant. and oh my goodness how we love the outcomes of their engagemnet session!!! the rich greens contrasting against their fair complexions and apparel let us create such clean, happy and fresh imagery we are in love with. Catherine and Mary’s ceremony will take place today (August 7th) at Montesano Lodge. We wish we could be there to capture it, however we will be shooting another fabulous wedding (just wait until you see it) in Missouri today and tomorrow.
In SimplyBloom news: We have so many amazing sessions to blog about including a crazy cool family, two sweet newborns, a quirky couple, a gorgeous bride and groom and more! Over the next month our blog will be filled with beautiful people — we just can’t wait to share these images! We even got into a little trouble capturing some of them 😉 but that’s a story for another blog post 😉 Anyways we are also thrilled to announce that SimplyBloom has gone national and international, booking weddings from coast to coast and even one in our homeland: Europe!
When we first met Rachel we immediately knew we had a lot in common. Our artistic minds seemed drawn to one another to ultimately create an artistic masterpiece : her jaw-dropping engagement images. At our first meeting with Rachel she told us that she also was a graphic designer and loved anything with a modern-vintage flair! It wasn’t until we browsed through her clean, fresh, and trendy website, that we really knew we were going to make an amazing client-photographer team! Rachel passionately designs custom wedding invitations that can be seen at b9objects.com. If you are a bride at the “paperie” stage of your planning, we know you will love b9objects. Months later we met Rachel again, and this time her fiance Philip with her. They wore lovely colorful outfits that fit the “put-put” theme perfectly. The bright wardrobe inspired us to use as many colorful golf balls as we could for a few flirty shots. Rachel’s taste is impeccable as you can see from her shoes, and Phillip’s red pants were very refreshing from the typical jean-look. While the sunlight was fading, we headed to The Ledges Country Club in Jones Valley. Here, we continued shooting the picture-perfect couple on the smooth rolling golf-course hills. Christine and I were so inspired by Rachel and Phillip’s new outfits and the soft lavender light. The bride to be was a sight to see, we wondered how she could look even more beautiful on her wedding day. Phillip and Rachel are one of those couples who are made for each other from the inside out. Please enjoy this beautiful session and mark your calendars for their unique wedding coming up in October.
It is always so pleasant getting to know a couple before and during their session. Chatting with couples truly lets us into their relationship and allows us to capture the essence of their love. We certainly felt this with Fina and Nathan. This AMAZING couple drove all the way from Houston, TX to Huntsville for their SimplyBloom engagement session. Fina is a savvy interior designer and aspiring photographer while Nathan is a charming theater tech. We were BEYOND flattered about their 2 day trip to AL just for us (Thank you guys!:)). We will be going to Austin in a few months for their artsy wedding at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden. After chatting and meeting this amazing duo, we are convinced that they will have a beautiful artistic wedding perfect to be captured SimplyBloom style. Fina worked it out in front of our cameras and seemed perfectly aware of how to position her body flawlessly. The way she would fall into a pose ever so delicately kept Christine and I shooting until the last drop of sunlight. When asked if they had modeled before, Fina replied: “No, we just look at your website a lot!” We LOVED this response of course, and with huge smiles on our faces we glowed with appreciation.
Fina and Nathan are self proclaimed “coffee shop junkies” and when we proposed starting the shoot at a local coffee shop in downtown Hunsville they were not only eager, but also inspired to add one more personal touch- and brought their favorite board game! Over a very foamy cappuccino and a fast-melting ice cream we strolled around downtown to capture the flirty-date type shots and then headed to a very romantic field lit by the most beautiful pink sunlight.
Nathan and Fina, we cannot express how thankful and flattered we are about your drive from TX to AL. We hope you enjoyed Huntsville, but most of all loved your session!

All other images were taken at the lovely Sam & Greg’s Coffee Shop in Downtown Huntsville. Sam & Greg’s is known for their delicious espresso, authentic pizza and for the best gelato in town!

To top it off, we have this beautiful new session we would like to showcase :
Bradley and Jordyn’s session is what Christine and I call “a dream session”. This couple’s style and vision for their imagery, completely fit our taste like a snug glove in winter time. They are beautiful from the inside out; and their keen sense of style is just the cherry on top! They brought along their tandem bicycle for the session, which we believe added so much to the timeless, vintage mood. The basket of peaches Christine and I impulsively purchased a few minutes prior to the session, also was a beautiful and unique element that gave the session a sweet scent and look.
