Dear blog readers, you are in for some sweet eye candy with this post, but before I go on and on and on about Denee & David’s wedding, let me share with you what life has been like for us these past crazy couple of months! Late March we traveled to the Beautiful Austin, TX, 3 weeks later we were the furthest north in the U.S either one of us had ever been– New Hampshire. Only 2 weeks succeeding, we traveled to the complete opposite coast of the country, to the spectacular San Francisco and Napa Valley. These destinations held such beauty and charm, and each wedding was beautiful, different, and so refreshing to capture. It feels as if we just returned from Cali, and we are on our way to ITALY tomorrow for what shall be the wedding of the year in Tuscany. For me this will be an amazing experience for two different reasons: 1. the obvious excitement at the opportunity to photograph a beautiful couple in such a perfect picturesque location. The second and very special reason, is that I am returning home to Italy; I will have a chance to see my family and friends whom I’ve know since elementary school. But I lied, there is actually a 3rd reason I am completely looking forward to this trip, a very specific one– I will be able to share my past, my home, my friends, and all my favorite places with my best friend, Christine. I am utterly thrilled for her to see Rome and the home in which I grew up. She knows absolutely everything SO much about me, so for her to finally visually see these places, means the world to me. Not to mention all the shopping we will be doing!
So expect this to be the last post for the next 11 days or so. We will return in the office on June 3rd, with so many pictures, major jet-lag, and even more stories for all of you! In the meantime, please know that I will miss blogging for you!
And now onto Denee & David’s wedding finally… Their Charleston, SC wedding was perfectly timeless. Denee’s beauty is so remarkable; she made for a jaw-dropping bride. Beyond all the beautiful decor and details, what was incredible about Denee & David was the way in which they looked at each other. Their stares for one another, penetrated each others souls. And it was apparent. I am sure Denee will never forget the way her “then-soon-to-be-husband” looked at her as they stood at the altar. It was clear that David’s heart was melting over and over for Denee. I am not trying to be cheesy here, but really the love that these two emitted for one another was quiet in the form of glances, and yet so loud.
The simplicity and style of this wedding are so well put together, they almost seem effortless. This wedding was also featured on the ultimate wedding blog– Style Me Pretty. Be sure to read Denee and David’s thoughts about their wedding on SMP, and all the work that went into creating such a perfect affair!
Denee and David’s color theme was steel gray. Who knew such a neutral color could inspire such a lovely wedding!
The bride’s veil was a delectable piece by Erin Cole Veils.
The Bride’s gown by Martina Liana fit as if was sowed for Denee specifically.
We loved the architecture and look of the French Huguenot in Charleston, SC. The Church actually sits at the heart of the French section of the lower peninsula and is just across the street from the oldest play house in the country, the Dock Street Theater.
A huge thank you goes to Emmy at Peacock Events Charleston, who directed the entire day so flawlessly, and smoothly allowed for perfect moments such as this:
We then headed to the sea shore in Charleston for a few pink-skyed portraits.
It’s easy to see how ridiculously beautiful Denee is…and here is another one of the heart-melting glances by David!
Their ever so elegant reception took place at the Wickliffe House. We adored the atmosphere under the open-top tent adorned with moody Christmas lights. All these lights made for a very dreamy, yet romantic and sophisticated setting.
