Styled Wedding & Bridal Photography

We thought we’d start the year off right… with a little shoot that revolved around the luxurious color gold.  This was undoubtedly one of our favorite styled shoots. ever. So here it is, to properly wish you a….

So many incredible vendors collaborated from different states and countries to bring our vision to life… and we could not have been more smitten with the outcomes.

Our gorgeous models rocked it so hard in front of the camera, Christine and I were more than a little exuberant while shooting them…

This shoot was precisely everything we had dreamed up… and more

This shoot is just a little glorious something to stimulate all your visual senses. And let me just say that, it’s just the beginning of all the glory about to unveil through 2012!

Huntsville, AL Botanical Gardens Wedding Photography |Alabama Vintage Wedding Photographers

A few months back, a local magazine reached out to us and asked if we’d do the photography for our local Botanical Gardens. Of course we adored this opportunity, and after a few weeks of intense styling, we held a styled wedding photo-shoot at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. The shoot was in order to promote the lovely local venue. Through this shoot, we wanted to showcase the myriads of picture-perfect spots the Gardens have to offer! Each nook in The Gardens is available as a wedding ceremony/reception site! Our favorite little spot, where we held the shoot, was the herb garden! This cozy little location would make for such a quaint and “back-yard” feel wedding!

We then headed all around the gardens for some beautiful bride and groom portraits for the editorial portion of the magazine!

We styled the shoot with the organic elements of the gardens in mind… we wanted it to feel simple, natural, and unpretentious…

This garden-inspired piece was painted by yours truly :)

Because not many decorations are needed when hosting a wedding at the Botanical Gardens, we kept the details small and in tune with the surroundings…. For a wedding in the herbs garden, we visualized pies in planting pots, tea bags as favors, held in rod-iron lanterns.

The bride and groom signs were also painted by yours truly, and the perfect flowers were generously created by Huntsville Florist

Morgan’s hair and make up was rendered even more flawless by Erin Smith Beauty

The bride’s ruffled gown and pink belt are by Vera Wang White Collection…

A giant thank you to Morgan and Rob for being ultra fabulous in front of the camera!

Fall Wedding Decor Inspiration | RUFFLED BLOG & WEDDING CHICKS BLOG

So it’s true, we’re a little late on posting this session, since technically it has a “FALL” feel, but nonetheless– we could not help but to share it with you all! We were approached by the fabulous team at Ruffled Blog with the chance to photograph one of the gorgeous and affordable gowns (did you know they sell wedding attire and accessories?! pretty sweet I know!). Obviously we jumped on the opportunity, and then when we knew Wedding Chicks was on board too and would be featuring the session, we pretty much jumped of joy!

Here is our interpretation of a simplistic, yet striking Bridal Fall Decor …

Then, we continued the session outdoors, in a ripe Alabama cotton field… fluffy and definitely Fall-ish…

Our beautiful model looked SO fine with Ruffled Shop’s wedding gown and hair piece! Here Erin is wearing The Bonnie Gown and the Vintage Bridal Cap

Infinite cotton fields is one of the principal reasons why we love Alabama…

Thank you so much to Ruffled Blog and Wedding Chicks for being too fabulous for words! really.

Today we are heading to Sarasota, FL for our LAST WEDDING OF THE YEAR!!! We cannot believe that this wedding season is coming to an end. Even though we’ve been the LUCKIEST, most FORTUNATE gals this year, we are more than ready for some Christmasy R&R! 😉 To say that twenty-eleven was a whirlwind is an understatement. We traveled from Hawaii to Italy (that’s an 8046 Mile span!), and many many places in between. To think that our cameras have brought us that far and wide is just inconceivable! 2011 was rich with the most glorious weddings, and really, the most amazing clients we could ever dream of! If you’ve enjoyed our posts thus far in the year, you have no idea the glory that is to come beyond Dec 31st!

Before we head to 75 degree breezy Florida weather, we leave you with the Sweet Sally & Matt, and their ethereal imagery…

Coming Up Next

Aloha from Hawaii!

While in paradise, we have photographed an epic shoot with Jill La Fleur, a timeless wedding in downtown Honolulu, and a couple of short film sessions with crushing waves as our background!

It feels like summer here in the middle of the Pacific! Fun fact: did you know that Hawaii is the most isolated chain of islands in the world!?

We are unspeakably blessed that the white beaches of Hawaii have been our office for the past 9 days!

And if you remember PART I of  the most recent “Coming Up Next”, here is PART II:

A sensual and mysterious boudoir

A modern destination wedding full of prettiness and laughter

An ethereal, magical, Colorado wedding

more from the charming southern session for Ruffled Blog

A part Indian, part fabulous, Memphis wedding

A sunny portrait session shot by our new Associate Photographer, Amanda! (details coming soon!)

A fall setting enveloped with kaleidoscope trees

one of our favorite weddings of the year :)

and a styled shoot with the loveliest couple who totally trusted our quirky giant-vintage-postcard idea 😉

It’s a blessing to work with super stylish, beautiful, and savvy individuals. Best of all, it’s a blessing to feel even a small part of these beautiful people’s lives…
