Thank you, dear friend, for letting us borrow some of your amazing pieces to showcase! They are truly divine and some of our favorites
When we dreamed up this session we had major spring fever. Everything seemed on the verge of birth. If we could sum it up, we were inspired by Cravaggio’s Bacchus for this spring-themed shoot. We incorporated real fruit, a rabbit, and a hand-crafted headpiece overflowing with fruits and extravagant florals — an important element in Caravaggio’s paintings. We appropriately held the shoot in an orchard at its flowered peak. With this shoot we captured ripeness, beauty, and womanhood. This message was reflected in the location, subject, and props.
While we were working to bring our vision to life, we knew we needed a powerful & meaningful color palette. Our favorite resource for color and inspiration boards is always Magnolia Rouge; we chose this gorgeous board as a starting point:
We begged Courtney to bring her bunny along for the shoot, and thankfully, she sweetly obliged. We just had to have this furry cutie for the shoot!
All the fabulous wardrobe pieces by Anthropologie
As the light melted into a shade of tangerine, we proceeded with the second look (my favorite!)
We crafted all the head-pieces and hand selected the outfits for the shoot, because well… we are ahem control freaks, and because everything had to match a particular concept, palette, and mood.
Dream a little…
The orchard was an inspiration in itself…
Something I haven’t mentioned is that one of the very first things we envisioned for this shoot, was a very old, rusted bicycle lusciously wrapped in flowers; we couldn’t have been happier with the execution…
Sure these shoots take time to bring to life, but honestly, they are what keep us sane, inspired, and refreshed…
Our model could not have better embodied the type of artistic beauty we seeked to transmit…
We are inspired; and we hope that you too, with these images, have caught the inspiration-bug. We challenge you to appreciate, make, and support Art…
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Boudoirs are some of the most feminine and fun sessions for us. Celeste is model-esque, photogenic, and so very aware of her movements in front of the camera. She sure made it look easy 😉
4 reasons our Boudoir sessions are sweeter than sugar:
1. There is NO better gift for a groom than a collection of romantic photos of his bride
2. They allow a girl to unleash all the femininity within
3. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s a very good idea to immortalize our body at its finest
4. They can be a very liberating experience
5. All that expensive Victoria’s Secret lingerie? well, now it has a purpose 😉
You can feel it in the air, see it on people’s faces, and it is confirmed by the blooming trees– IT’S SPRINGTIME!
So it is only appropriate to celebrate the arrival of all-things-flourishing with an image from our latest Spring-Inspired styled shoot:
Photographers, be sure you did not miss THIS announcement!
